Coley C. Woodward II, LMHC

Owner and Founder of the Psyberspace Center for Psychedelic Therapy

Coley is a dynamic and compassionate mental health professional  devoted to helping people heal, grow, and reconnect to their sense of purpose. With years of experience working across correctional facilities, crisis treatment programs, and outpatient clinics, he brings a trauma-informed, culturally attuned, and deeply human approach to therapy.

Coley has supported individuals navigating some of life’s most difficult challenges—from incarceration and severe mental illness to complex trauma, addiction, grief/loss, and eating disorders. His background includes work as a clinical case manager  and crisis  therapist  at Santa Clara County jails, a forensic social worker with the San Mateo County Bar Association’s Private Defender Program, a HEALer’s Circle therapist with Project HEAL’s eating disorder program, and a health equity leader in MDMA-assisted therapy with Lykos Therapeutics (formerly MAPS).

He integrates evidence-based modalities like EMDR Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Family-Based Therapy (FBT), and psychedelic-assisted therapy to help clients experience rapid relief and lasting transformation—especially when traditional methods have fallen short. His counseling style is person-centered, strength-based, and grounded in social rehabilitation, always holding space for clients to feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Above all, Coley is passionate about providing warm, nonjudgmental, and deeply affirming care. He sees therapy as a sacred process—one that helps people not only heal their past, but step boldly into their passion, potential, and purpose.

Bio: Everyone has their own inner healing wisdom, but sometimes, painful events in life cloud it. In therapy, the safe set and setting is meant for your wisdom to emerge and strengthen, so you can carry this wisdom along your journey of life.

Perhaps, allow it to reunite you with your most important values, or to seek refuge and find calmness when challenges occur. My approach lies in an unwavering, strength-based therapeutic alliance grounded in patience and unconditional positive regard. Together, we gently explore experiences that may feel heavy, taboo or unresolved, bringing them enough compassion and understanding so that they can transform to what may serve you better.

Healing is not a destination but an act of resiliency that can lead to improvement in relationships with self, work, and people around you. I am a pre-licensed therapist in the Psychedelic Therapy Training Program at Columbia University. My clinical experience includes working with people who carry attachment wounds, grief, generational traumas, substance-use challenges, identity and relational issues. I can provide therapy in English and Vietnamese. I honor the strength and vulnerability in your courage to seek therapy.

I invite you to connect with me.
