Revitalize Connections: Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for Relationship and Family Healing.
Couples and Family Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a relatively new and innovative approach that combines ketamine with psychotherapy for couples and families. The altered state induced by ketamine might allow clients to see their relationships and problems from new perspectives. The goal is to address and resolve complex relational and emotional issues that might be challenging to tackle with traditional therapy alone. A separate medical intake and psychological assessment is required. It is highly recommended that participants engage in their own individual KAP session(s) prior to engaging in couples or family KAP to familiarize themselves with the medicine.
What does it look like?
Couples Therapy: Focuses on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening the relationship between partners. The ketamine experience might provide new perspectives or emotional insights that can facilitate breakthroughs in understanding and connection.
Family Therapy: Aims to address and improve family dynamics, communication, and relationships. The KAP sessions might help family members explore and heal from underlying issues including but not limited to generational trauma that contribute to family conflict or distress.
